Age is something only in your head or a stereotype. Age means nothing when you are passionate about something. I would like to be a one-man multinational fashion phenomenon. Nostalgia is a very complicated subject for me. I’m attracted by nostalgia but I refuse it intellectually. Age is something only in your head or a stereotype. I design from instinct. It’s the only way I know how to live. What feels good. What feels right. What is needed. Give me a problem and I will approach it creatively, from my gut. Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it. A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous. I always say: To be well dressed you must be well naked. Money doesn’t buy elegance. You can take an inexpensive sheath, add a pretty scarf, gray shoes, and a wonderful bag, and it will always be elegant.

I want to thank all the women who have worn my clothes, the famous and the unknown, who have been so faithful to me and given me so much joy. I want people to be afraid of the women I dress. We look our best in subdued colors, sophisticated cuts, and a general air of sleek understatement. I believe that my clothes can give people a better image of themselves – that it can increase their feelings of confidence and happiness. Don’t dress to kill, dress to survive.

I can design a collection in a day and I always do, cause I’ve always got a load of Italians on my back, moaning that it’s late. I love women’s fashion, but women don’t need me as much as men do. It’s the men who have nothing to wear. The difference between style and fashion is quality. Delete the negative; accentuate the positive! Fashion is about dressing according to what’s fashionable. Style is more about being yourself.
